FIRST BIRTHDAY

My youngest grandchild turned one today, where has the year gone, what have I completed in the last year? Does it count if I say I have started a few stories and started a novel and even started sorting out some cupboards, it is so easy to think about doing things and even starting them but the finishing of the jobs is the hardest bit. I always seem to get side tracked, called upon to do a job or just answer the phone and then I have gone of in another direction. Write a list they say but really how many lists can you have, then I lose the list.

When Mia was born ( that’s the youngest grandchild ) her Aunty Jodie looked after her one day, while there she took some impressions of her little hand and foot. You forget just how tiny they are. They have now been framed and today at the Birthday Party, Jodie gave her sister a present and said this is for you.

They are so cute and will be a reminder for ever how little she was.

The cake and fairy cakes were all made by a friend, who we think should be starting her own business as they look so good and taste divine. I have already put my order in for my birthday.

The theme was giraffes as she has so many of them, you can get just about everything with a giraffe on it now, believe me, I even got a little trampoline with one on.
So that was the birthday over, enjoyed by all the family. Time for a rest now, as for Mia, she could not wait till she got home to sleep.

  1. What a lovely gift! So precious – the gift will be treasured.

Thank you for reading my blog, Nanny-cool. Welcome to the blog-o-sphere. I’m happy to have met you by way of your comment. I love your name, and wish you continued enjoyment with blogging. I have fun with it, but have been a little sporadic about blogging lately. Hopefully, I can start devoting more time to it.

    All the best,

    AA
