Before you think that this is just another fund-raising effort please carry on reading.  We all live our lives praying that the big ‘C’ cancer, will not affect us but it does, as we all know someone whether family, friend or acquaintance that has been struck down by this disease.  It has no class issues, randomly destroying lives and hurting so many good people.

The most heartbreaking are the children who’s lives it destroys, stopping their laughter and happiness.  To see your child fight this horrible illness almost kills you inside, you want to protect them, take away their pain but you can’t.  You can hold them, wipe away the tears and give them the will and courage to fight this battle and hopefully win.

I was going to look up stats about all this but then thought no, I don’t need to, we just need to all pull together to support the research to help our children and families that are struck down by this.  Even if you only give a pound, it does not matter as you can say that you have joined the fight to find a cure and keep our children healthy and happy.

Leon Whitby is my son in-laws brother, the Whitby’s are a big family who have felt the heartbreak of cancer and are all pulling together to support Leon in his efforts to raise money for this charity.  A family man himself with eight children, he is just asking you for your help in giving some money and supporting him in the run of his life.

Please share this as much as you can everyone, thank you. x
