IKEA SHOPPING

What a great day yesterday shopping for hours in Ikea but boy do I ache today.  The shop is at Lakeside, Thurrock so takes about 90 minutes to get there in a car from Folkestone but definitly worth it. They sell just about everything you could think of for a house and it is all really well made so lasts forever.

Izzy came with Corinne, Sylvie and myself as she wanted a desk and chair for her room as it has just been decorated for her.  She also fell in love with this lamp actually we all liked it as Corinne got one and I got the taller version of it for my lounge.

We had lunch there as the meatballs are not to be missed, delicious!  From the website you can join the Ikea family club and you get a membership card so when you are there you get free tea and coffee which is needed.  This shop is enormous so you have to have breaks to re-charge your batteries.  We are all extremely tired today so nothing is getting done, I am doing this from my bed.

We got so much stuff the boot was full and we had it on our laps lol.

A fantastic day was had by all, good job we do not go very often though as spent all my money.

  1. I’m a fan of IKEA also, Karen. Why is it that the stores are always such a long drive away from us? Ours is 2 hours north. We are thinking of renovating our kitchen with IKEA cabinets. I’ll keep you posted on the blog.

    • Oh the kitchens were so lovely, they make everything so compact and smooth. I was saying we need a store down in Kent really as Dartford crossing is always such a nightmare with traffic. Looking forward to seeing your kitchen, you could do a before and after post. Xx
