HUNGRY HORSE, BLACKBULL FOLKESTONE

Was a fun evening with Kara, Dan and Jodie last night and it was a good job we were having a laugh as the service was not good.  Our table was booked for 7.15.

It is not very often I slate an establishment but I was so disappointed with them last night, especially after last week when I had such a lovely meal in there.  The resturant was almost empty last night with most people in the bar watching football.  The new manager was upstairs, who I hear was bought in to increase service and food quality!

We ordered a sharing starter, 4 meals and 4 drinks, the sharing platter was delicious and plenty for all of us.

The only thing missing here was cheese on the nachos, so we didn’t bother saying anything about that.

Then the meals came out but only 3 of them!

We were a Big Daddy missing, then they informed us that it was not ordered so we had to get up and go pay for that and then wait for it to be cooked.  I really dislike eating when someone is waiting for their meal.  We then realised that Jodies meal had no bacon in it so they bought a small pot out with bacon in it.  Eventually the missing meal was served, then we noticed that the 2 Big Daddy’s were very different as one had lettace, tomatoe and cheese in and one did not have any.  The final straw came when we then saw a hair in the burger!

They came to clear the table and only took half the plates and left the rest there.  We asked to see the manager who eventually came down stairs.  He had an answer for everything and informed us that his chefs were bald so there was no way a hair had come from his kitchen, I realise that it is a scam people use but his attitude was not good.  He gave us two free desserts and I asked for mine but he said he could only give 2 desserts to each table.  When the desserts came mine was not there anyway so I did not bother as by then we had all had enough.

As I was standing at the bar to pay the chef came out to get something and guess what?  He had dark hair!
