JOURNEY TO POOLE, UK

Leaving Kent on a sunny Wednesday morning I began my drive to Poole, with most of it being motorway it is pretty boring so I had a good mixture of music to listen to.

Arriving in Bournemouth I decide to stop and have a rest watching the sea rolling in with crashing waves, the weather has been extremely windy the last few days due to the hurricanes battering America.  This area is very built up now with some of it just pedestrian paths along the sea front.  The well known Winter Gardens are still there and as popular as ever I think I went to a show there when younger.

Driving onto Poole did not take hardly anytime and that is where I made my first mistake as waiting to turn right I could not see the traffic lights so assumed they had taken them down for repair, bit strange I thought to myself.  Then a car turned into my lane and was facing me, oh dear! I really am in the wrong lane so a quick reverse and I pulled into the other one and hey I can see the traffic lights now!   Deciding the time had come for another coffee I parked up and had a look round then sat and had a lovely coffee in a family owned bakers, you don’t see them very often now as most are company owned.

Arriving at the airbnb later that afternoon I was met by Tansy a lovely lady who originally came from Folkestone so we had a good catch up over a cup of tea.  I stayed in that evening as I knew I had an early start the next morning as the ferry to Jersey was leaving at 9.15 and you have to be there an hour early but then they sent me a text to say the bridge was shut so allow extra time for your journey as the other bridge went up every hour.

So I took my kindle and popped to bed, having a super sleep I was up early ready to start the next day.

These houses cost a fortune!
